Top 25 songs of 2011 (25-21)

So we here at Alpha Femme love music and we thought that a good way to count down to the new year would be to post our favorite songs of 2011. Now these are our favorites of the year not MTV, not Billboard and more than likely not yours…LOL. Come back everyday til December 31st to see the list.

25. Can’t Get Enough – J. Cole

I think I speak for all the femmes when I say we love J. Cole. With that said I had to get him on the list. His mixtapes have been creating a buzz for quite a while but this duet with Trey Songz is on his official debut, Cole World:Sideline Story.

24. Love Faces – Trey Songz

Speaking of Trey Songz, anyone who knows me know that I did not care for him for quite a while, he did however win me over with his 2010 release of Passion, Pain & Pleasure. Love Faces was released in 2011 and is now one of my favorites off the album. This ballad falls in line with Trey’s usual sex themed crooning.

23. Motivation – Kelly Rowland

Keeping it sexy at #23 is Kelly Rowland with her highest selling single as a solo artist. Kelly seems to do well at putting out one hit record per album and Motivation was certainly that single from her 2011 album release Here I Am.

22. How to Love – Lil Wayne

This was a departure from a typical Lil Wayne track, it actually told a story. The realness of the story and the video gave Weezy a pass for his attempt at “singing”

21. Fool For You – CeeLo Green/Melanie Fiona
