Feature: What are You Doing to Raise Awareness About the Ta-Tas?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  During this month as we raise awareness for this disease that is affecting more women in America than any other type of cancer with the exception of skin cancer. The National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation also tells us that, “each year it is estimated that nearly 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die. Approximately 1,700 men will also be diagnosed with breast cancer and 450 will die each year.”

With that being said have you done your part to fight this killer?  A lot of business are giving donations for the cause, from merchandise that you purchase, such as the items pictured below from cafe press http://shop.cafepress.com/breast-cancer.

This is a flash presentation, that may not display on some telephones, please visit Cafe Press and view the items.

If you wish to do more (which you definitely should) you can educated your community to get regular exams (early detection is important in fighting this disease), participate and raise funds in one of the many breast cancer walks,  make a donation to one of the following agencies:

National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Breast Cancer Awareness.com

The Breast Cancer Site

There are so many avenues for you to take to support the cause, make sure you take at least one.

“People used to say everyone knows someone who’s had breast cancer. In the past few weeks, I’ve learned something else: Everyone has someone close to them who has had breast cancer.” ~Debbie Wasserman Schultz
